WHY IS BREAD SO HEALTHY?

family pictureAt Irwin’s, we pride ourselves in being a 'family baker who bakes for families'.

In our bakery there’s just one rule when it comes to choosing, combining and baking our ingredients: if we wouldn’t be happy letting our own families eat the finished product, then we wouldn’t be happy letting yours.

That’s why we don’t use artificial preservatives or excessive levels of fat in our bread to ‘plump’ it up. We prefer to use care and craft to create great tasting loaves, not short cuts.

It’s this respect for our customers that we see repaid by them every day. A little bit of honesty in this business goes a long way to creating a healthy local reputation.

And it’s not just our reputation that’s healthy. Our pan bread range is fortified with Folic Acid and Calcium, while our Low GI Loaf has all the fibre goodness of wholemeal.
