Sunflower and Pumpkin Seeds were added to the original Nutty Krust recipe to create a loaf that's superb for sandwiches. The added seeds enhances the texture of the bread to result in a great tasting Nutty Krust loaf that has added bite.
Irwin's Bakery was the first bakery in Northern Ireland to introduce a 600g loaf. Whilst listening to customers, Irwin's introduced the 600g loaf in February 2008 to alleviate the waste of bread products for famalies in the home.
