Irwin's are sponsoring UTV's Rare Breed which follows an entire year in the life of various farmers across Northern Ireland, giving insight into one of our largest and oldest industries.

Awards
We are absolutely delighted to have won the Marketing Exellence award from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. We also received a highly commended from the Farming Life and Northern Bank awards for Agri-food Business of the year.

U105
We know it's only November, but to get you in the Christmas mood we are giving the chance to 5 sets of lucky U105 listeners to attend a VIP screening of 'Miracle on 34th Street' at the Odyssey arena on December 10th. BBC Good Food Show
Everyone at Irwin's is busy preparing for a BIG event in November, the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham. There will be a huge selection of retailers from across the UK including a handful from Northern Ireland. We will be there with the Rankin Selection brand, selling and sampling all your favourites from the 23rd to 27th of November.
It is always a great weekend, especially for all you foodies out there, so check out the website for information and come along. Tickets are now on sale!

Country Comes to Town
*We had a great time at the Country Comes to Town, the music and crowds were brilliant. Thanks to everyone who came along!

Tesco Taste Northern Ireland
Thanks to everyone who called in to see us at the Tesco Show in Custom House Square - we had a great weekend of sampling and selling great local produce. Everyone LOVED our new Rankin Griddle Scones and Tasty Cinnamon and Raisin Loaf.

Rankin Selection rises to the challenge at food 'Oscars'
Irwin's Bakery picks up coveted industry awards
Portadown based bakery Irwin's received special recognition for two of its products at the recent food 'Oscars', the 2011 Great Taste Awards. Rankin Selection Cranberry & Oat Griddle Scones received two coveted Gold Stars and Rankin Selection Tasty Cinnamon & Raisin Loaf was awarded one Gold Star.
The awards, which are rigorously judged by leading food experts including chefs, food writers and restaurant critics, are in their 18th year and represent the equivalent of Michelin for specialist food producers:
"Winning at the Great Taste Awards is a fantastic accolade for our business and proof to the consumer that Irwin's is committed to excellence," Michael Murphy, Commercial Director of Irwin's Bakery explains.
"We're very proud to have received this recognition for two products within our Rankin Selection range, which continues to bring Irish breads to the fore across the UK. It also gives us a valuable 'seal of approval' to help market the products further. With almost 100 years of baking experience, Irwin's remains focused on innovation and quality in order to ensure we maintain our high standards and these awards are testament to that."
