Irwin’s Bakery are proud to have such a family orientated business. From the establishment of the company in 1912, famalies and family life has been a very important to Irwin's.
So when a sponsorship opportunity with the Belfast Telegraph awards came to Irwin’s, we jumped at the chance to be associated with such a prestigious award as “Mum of the Year”.
Voted for by members of the family, the mum of the year entrants are then selected to a shortlist.
Lorna Nelson won 2008’s competition and had this to say:
"I had a fantastic night and I was absolutely delighted to win the award. I didn't even think I would get in the top three never mind win."
Her daughter Lisa Davidson, who voted for her added:
"Mum has been through so much in her lifetime and it has made her a very strong and inspirational woman".
